Committed since its creation in 2016
Since 2016, the Grand Raid Ventoux by UTMB has been more than just a sporting challenge. Each runner becomes the driving force behind a gesture of solidarity by contributing through his or her entry to a cause close to our hearts. For each bib number, 2EUR are donated to the Œuvre des Pupilles Orphelins des Sapeurs Pompiers.
This commitment goes far beyond competition: it unites participants in a spirit of generosity and solidarity. Every kilometer covered is a step towards a better world, where individual effort is transformed into collective support for those who need it most.
The Œuvre des Pupilles Orphelins mission
L'Œuvre des Pupilles Orphelins is much more than an association. Founded on March 27, 1926 by Commandant Guesnet, it was recognized as a charitable organization in 1928, and enjoys the patronage of the President of the French Republic. For decades it has stood by the children of firefighters, offering them essential moral and financial support when they lose a parent on or off duty.
The association doesn't just provide material support, it embodies a true community of solidarity, offering invaluable help to the families of firefighters in difficulty. Whether professional, volunteer or military, all firefighters and their families can count on the Œuvre des Pupilles Orphelins to help them through the most difficult times. It is there to remind them that they are never alone, that their commitment always finds a benevolent and human echo.
